Violent Explosions Scatter Crowds In City Street: Three violent explosions in Thames Street, City this afternoon sent crowds running to safety and bowled people over. Only once person was hurt - Douglas Selwood who was knocked over by the force of the second explosion. The explosion were caused by electric junction boxes blowint up. Photo shows The scene in Thames Street this afternoon after the explosions - as smoke continues to pour from the damaged manholes.
