Doctors Issue report on smoking and cancer Stronger government Measures Urged: Sir Robert Platt, President of the Royal College of Physicians, spoke this morning at a pres conference to mark the publication of Smoking and Health,a report of the College on smoking in relation to lung cancer. In it, it urged an increases in the price of cigraretted - to force people t either give up cigarettes or turn to "less harmful" pipes and cigars; anti smoking education and publicity; wider restrications on smoking in public place; specil clinics to help those who find it hard to give up smoking.
