Lady Montague In Sensation In Chelsea. Lucky Escape From Serious Injury: Lady Montague of Beaulieu travelled to the Chelsea Town Hall this afternoon aboard an ancient horse drawn fire-engine- to take part in the opening of the 9th. Autumn Antique Fair. On arriving at the Town Hall - the driver jumped from his driving seat - and then the horse bolted - pulling the engine- with Lady Montague still on board - some hundreds of yards along the hight street - before it was again get under control. Lady Montague was badly shaken up. Lord Montague - driving one of his veteran cars - chased the fire engine along the road. Photo shows Lady Montague - very scared - pulls at the reins - while the driver runs to try to stop the runaway horse - at the start of the an scheduled run this afternoon.
