Floating "test Bed" - For The Royal Navy H.M.S. Grey Goose: The famous H.M.S/. Grey Goose - war time Midget warship has been turned into a "floating Test Bed" for the Royal Navy. She has been fitted with two secret experimental Rolls Royce Marine Gas turbine engines of advanced design - and fifty percent lighter than the Orthodox engines and taking up twenty - five percent less space. She was demonstrated for the press at Gosport this afternoon. Photo shows View of the engine room aboard H.M.S. Grey Goose showing the two huge experimental Rollse Royce RM 60 engines - attended by Chief E.R.A. Geoff Bandy Portsmouth. He wears special car protection muffs against the engine noise.
