Vanessa Redgrave as Mary Queen of Scots: Vanessa Redgrave plays Mary, Queen of Scots, and Glenda Jackson plays Queen Elizabeth I of England, in the film ''Mary, Queen of Scots''. The film is to be produced by Hal B. Wallis, who has always been fascinated by the enigma of Mary of Scotland. Was Mary, Queen of Scots a fastidious woman or a wanton? A clever woman or a sensuous fool? An accessory to murder, or an innocent dupe? The life and loves of Mary Stuart have intrigued the world for centuries. To this day there is no authenticated proof of her guilty involvement in many of the violent happenings at her Court in a Scotland dominated by Calvinist firebrand John Knox. Filming starts on Monday in Northumberland and Scotland. Vanessa and Glenda met yesterday at Shepperton studios. Photo shows the two 'queens' seen walking in the grounds of Shepperton studios yesterday. Vanessa Redgrave on left and Glenda Jackson.
