Two 19 years old girls - but there are thousands of years between them: The Hamburg dealer in works of art Baron von Ledebur found an old- Egyptian mummy in the attics of Triebsch Castle (Lower Frankonia) which belongs to the Duke of Koburg. The mummy was a gift to the then Duke of Coburg who gave the financial means for an expedition to the king tombs of Theben in 1828. After the judgement of the Egyptian expert Dr. Mueller-Feldmann from Hamburg the mummy is originating from the 18th dynasty, shows a princess of about 19 years and might be at least 3000 years old. One mummy of the same kind was recently sold in USA for 35.000 dollars. Baron von Ledebur wants to get at least 30.000. - German Marks. The colours (paintings) on the mummy are made of the following material:
green = pure chlorophyll,
red = oxen blood,
yellow = yellow of eggs mixed with henna.
