Rembrandt Painting stolen - value 250,000 Dm : On Dec 12th, 1959, unknown thieves stole the 25 x 25 cm. Large painting "Christ head" by Rembrandt out of the Museum in Berlin -Dahlem , The value of the painting is said to be 250,000 Dm. This is the second theft of valuable paintings in Germany within a short time (The first one was the Cranach painting "Venus" of the Frankfurt Museum). photo shows A reproduction of the study "Christ head" by Rembrandt.
