US Ambassador to the NATO in Berlin: The US ambassador to the NATO, Thomas K. Finletter (Finletter), arrived on Jan. 19th, 1962 for a three day visit in Berlin. Finletter was invited by his old friend, the special commissioner of the American President to Berlin, General Lucius D. Clay (Clay) who also greeted his guest on the airport Berlin-Tempelhof.
