"Operations Stamp Lift" As the gift stamp war hots up in the shops of Britain, one American firm which claims that British printers could not operate quickly enough, flew 25 tons of stamps into Manchester from the U.S.A. so that they could be in the shops for Monday morning. photo shows Boxes of stamps loaded on a fork lift are taken out of the aircraft, each box contains 1,000,000 stamps.
