Police investigate disappearance of farmer and his wife. Scotland Yard detectives are now investigating the strange disappearance of wealthy farmer 55 year old John Herries and his wife Phoebe (54) from heir farmstead Derlwyn, in carmarthen shire. Quarried - pits - mine shafts in the area etc. are being searched for any trace of the couple - and over 50 statements have been taken by the police from local inhabitants. Photo shows On duty outside a farm doorway is a policeman - his durty is to question every visitor to the farm.
