The "Bravest Dog Of The Year" - Receives Silver Cup And The World's Biggest Dog Biscuits: A ceremony was held at the Waldorf Hotel, London this morning - at which "Fly" - the "bravest dog of the year' and her master 68 years old Stockman Tom Powell were the guests of honour. Arranged by the National Association of Dog Biscuit Manufacturers - they were presented with the Association's silver cup - and the biggest dog biscuit in the world - which measures two feet square and which weighs 23lbs.."Fly" saved her masters' life - when Mr. Powell was cleaning out the the bull pen at Lower House Farm, Arddlean, Montogomeryshire - when the bull suddenly turned on him - knocked him down and pinned him against the wall. Three times he rammed Mr. Powell in the chest with his head - as he had been thrown close to the will - the horns missed. The 'Fly' came rushing in - charged at the bull nipping his heals with her sharp teeth - the bull charges the dog - and the dog leaped at his nose. The bull backed into a corner - and was held at bay by 'Fly' while Mr. Powell scrambled to safety.
