What was meant to be only a provisorium: the new Republic, the capital Bonn, the Bundeshaus at the bank of river Rhine, as well as the new Parliament, which was chosen on August 14th, 1949, - all this can celebrate now his 30 "Birthday". In 1949 everyone thought, it will be only a temporary for the time of the German Partition, which could not be for a long time. On September 12th,1949 the first West German President was chosen, professor Theodor Heuss; the first Chancellor has been Konrad Adenauer (chosen on September 15th,1949).
