Gretna Green's pottiest wedding ever: Flower power, the power of flowers over the English has long been known, Englishmen and women carefully tend their gardens, window boxes and indoor plants, they love them, they cherrish them, but it is a German who has finally married one. Ramma Damma who claims to be the saviour of the plants, married Xanthippe a pineapple plant at a simple ceremony on Tuesday last at Gretna Green. Officiating at the ceremony was Jimmy Findlater, a gardener, who was assisted by Sandy, Jimmy sealed the wedding ceremony with a watering can. Sounds like a joke? For Ramma Damma it is all very serious. His love for Xanthippe blossomed over a year ago, he says 'We should all be kind to our plants. We should take them to the cinema or dancing and also talk to them. There is a record of the wedding, the ceremony and Xanthippe's 'I will' were both recorded. The happy couple spent their first night in a greenhouse and then moved on to honeymoon in London. They will shortly be going to Scotland as Ramma Damma's bride has expresed a wish to see 'The monster of Lochness'. As a wedding present for his wife, Ramma Damma has arranged for her to make a recording with the ~~~~~phyllharmonic at the EMI recording studios. The bridegroom is a space age rock singer well known in Germany and France. His stage costume has incorporated in it 100 light bulbs, and he wore his costume for the ceremony over the famous anvil at Gretna Green. Incedently, Xanthippe has a nickname, its Linda Laughlac.
