BRITISH CANBERRA SETS UP THREE NEW WORLD RECORDS...HISTORY MAKING FLIGHT ENDS AT LONDON AIRPORT. Piloted by CAPTAIN JOHN HACKETT and PETER MONEYPENNY as the navigator - a British Canberra JET BOMBER LEFT LONDON Airport yesterday morning - and made the return trip to New York in 14 hrs. 21 min. 45,5 secs - including a 35 minute stop in New York to refuel. The fight to New York took 7 hrs. 29 min. 56,7 secs: New York to London took 6 hrs. 16 min, 59,5 secs - setting up records for London to New York - London and the return journey (subject to confirmation).
