Rome, March 1963 - "Gidget Goes to Rome'' is the film actually shot in Rome, by a "troupe'' of young new American actors; it is the story of "Gidget'' (Cindy Carol) her boyfriend Jeff and their friends who arrive in Rome and act off to see the sights with Daniela, a pretty young guide. Through a series of misunderstandings, Gidget is brought before the American Embassy for attempting to destroy valuable art treasures and for stealing jewelry and fashion secrets by impersonating a model at a fashion show. OPS: Cindy Carol and a policeman (unknown actor).
