1962 Press Photo Baby Squirrel with meat bone collar in Flint, Michigan

Flint, Michigan--collared squirrel cut free--This baby squirrel found a round meat bone took it home, eat his way through it, and found he had a collar. He is shown in his dilemma atop a tree house, (upper left), in yard of George Moon of Flint, Michigan, who realized the, rapidly growing, young squirrel was starving to death. Moon trapped squirrel in house brought it and the squirrel down and snipped him free, (lower left).

Photo is dated 1962.
