Description
Overhead view above the California desert shown unusual configuration of new Lockheed XF104 Starfighter, the Air Force's fastest fighter. Plane's wings, only 7 1/2 feet from fuselage to tip, are set back near tail and slant downward. Their landing edges are almost knife sharp. The XF104, and production model F104A were shown to newsmen yesterday for first time. Top speed of plane is secret.
