Three United States Air Force Aerospace Defense Command (ADC) F-101Bs return from a practice intercept off the coast of North America with the Pacific surf in the background. the Voodoo has been used by ADC as an all-weather, long-range, fighter interceptor since 1959. The two-place aircraft, manned by a pilot and radar intercept operator, is armed with Genie rockets and Falcon missiles. ADC provides more than 70 per cent of the men and equipment for the North American Air Defense Command, which is charged with the defense of North America and the United States.
