One of a kind - This well-kept thoroughfare, hollowed out of solid granite, is a one-of-a-kind road. Some 1,400 feet long, it leads into Cheyenne Mountain and a grid of chambers filled with steel buildings. Tunnel, chambers and buildings make up the daily work place for hundreds of specialists who man the North American Air Defense Command's underground command post complex near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
