The Defense Department released this photo in Washington, February 28, of what it identified as a Soviet Twin-jet Badger bomber flying near a United States (U.S.) Navy Phantom over the Pacific Ocean northwest of Japan. The department said the Soviet plane was over a U.S. Navy carrier task force when the picture was made late in January. The Navy plane, small image at bottom was based on the Attack Carrier Kitty Hawk. Airplanes, Russia. Soviet Union.
