This photo is of the USS Farragut, completed 6-18-34, name vessel of the so-called Farragut Class of United States (U.S.) destroyers. The others in this class, all of similar design and carrying similar armament are the following: USS Aylwin, May 1, 1935; Dale, July 19, 1935; Dewey, October 3, 1934; Hull, May 24, 1935; Mac Donough, June 28, 1935; Monaghan, August 30, 1935; Worden, March 1, 1935. The standard displacement of these vessels is 1,394 tons. Complement: 162 officers and men. Dimensions: Length 341 feet; Beam 34 ft.; Draught 8 2/3 feet. Guns: 5-5 inch 38 cal (dual purpose), 4 machine guns. Torpedo Tubes: 8-21 inch (quadrupled). Speed: 36.5 knots. U.S.S.
