Washington, D.C. - General Maxwell Taylor, United States (U.S.) Ambassador to South Viet Nam, appears today before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He reported on the situation in Vietnam in an executive session of the committee. One of the senators, George Aiken, Republican - V, left the session early and quoted Taylor as saying there is no reason for a declaration of war in Viet Nam and added that the fighting is still "a Vietnamese affair." ...addresses Senate Committee on Vietnam
