United States (U.S.) Ambassador (Amb.) Maxwell D. Taylor, back in Saigon after talks in Washington with President Johnson, tells a news conference today he has instructions to meet urgently with the South Vietnamese government. This was interpreted to mean to press for fresh action to stabilize the government and to push the war against the Viet Cong.
