Army Sp. 3/c William Girard holds a press conference in Camp Whittington, Japan, with Brig. Gen. Charles L. Girard is scheduled to stand trial in a Japanese court for causing the death of a Japanese woman at a United States Army firing range. Girard, at the press conference, denied that the Army has been "pressuring" him to accept the Japanese trial.
