On a clear day...brisk winds which swept across Southern California one day last week gave residents of Los Angeles not only a welcome surcease from the customary smoggy atmosphere but a rare look at snow-covered mountains overlook the basin. This photo, made from the Baldwin Hills, shows the skyline 10 miles away and the San Gabriel Mountains another 15 miles beyond.
