1938 Press Photo Cathedral in Seville, Spain where Columbus is buried

Every photo in our collection is an original vintage print from a newspaper or news service archive, not a digital image. Please see our FAQ for more information.

Description
In Old Spain many historians persist in their declaration that Columbus' remains actually repose in the bier supported on the shoulders of the four Kings of Aragon, whose life-like figures and posture grace the interior of the Giralsa (Cathedral) at Seville, said to be the third largest church in Christendom.

Photo is dated 1938.

Photo measures 10 x 8 inches.
