A highlight of the International Fair Scholarship Ball last night was the presentation of awards to six outstanding Houstonians who have made great contributions in various international categories. Shown receiving the lighted world globe for the "Highest Overall Contribution to International Trade and Travel" is George Carmack (right), editor of the Houston Press. Presenting the award is Sherwood Crane (left), chairman of the Ball. Watching is Edward J. Fay (center), director of the World Trade Center, who was also the recipient of an award for the outstanding contribution to the field of International Trade. Other recipients were: Mrs. Percy Selden, who was honored for her contribution to International Welfare; Felix Tijerina, for his contribution to International Understanding; David R. Taylor, for his contribution to International Travel; and Lt. Gen. A.D. Bruce, for his contribution to International Education.
