Houston, TX: For their volunteer work at the Veterans Administration Hospital totaling 13,850 1/2 hours over many years, three sisters are awarded a special citation by Dr. Lee D. Cady, hospital manager. Left to right, Mrs. Theresa Eggling, 1026 Winston; Dr. Cady; Mrs. Walter Eyring, 1110 Dunbar, and Mrs. Mae Cade, 1102 Dunbar. The sisters, member of the American Legion Auxiliary, were honored at a special awards dinner at the hospital Tuesday. 05/04/1961: Dr. Lee D. Cady will receive the "physician of the year" award from President Kennedy's committee on employment of physical handicapped. Dr. Cady, head of Houston's Veterans Administration Hospital,will receive the award at a banquet Oct. 3 in Denver.
