1970 Press Photo Houston's Sgt. Ted Capps receives hero's welcome from neighbors

Sergeant Edward G. (Ted) Capps received a hero's welcome when he returned home from Vietnam. Friends and neighbors in the 2200 and 2300 blocks of Willowby set out American Flags in their yards and peppered the sergeant's parents' lawn with signs of welcome. Sergeant Capps served with the 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam and recently received his third Army Commendation Medal and third Bronze Star with Oak Leaf and V-device. He also wears the Air Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge. He is the son of MR. and Mrs. J.N. Capps of 2218 Willowby. His wife, Jeanne, is the daughter of Mrs. C.D. Barlow, also of Houston.
