Larry Smith, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oran Lee Smith, has been awarded a $2000 scholarship awarded annually by The Salvation Army to a member of its Boys' Club. Smith, a graduate of Jack Yates High School, plans to attend Texas Southern University and work for a degree in sociology.
