1974 Press Photo Houston's Ruben Banda & Paul Rodriguez are scholarship winners

Ruben Banda, 19, seated, of 5423 S. Shady Creek, and Paul Rodriguez, 19, of 2721 Terry, are top winners of the annual Salvation Army Boys' Club scholarships. Banda, a Stephen F. Austin High School graduate, received a $3,000 scholarship and Rodriguez, a Jefferson Davis High graduate, received $2,000. The Salvation Army awarded another $2,600 in scholarships to nine other youngsters. Funds for the scholarships are provided by Houston Endowment Inc. Scholarships - Houston
