Description
Work is moving along on the extension of Memorial Drive over Buffalo Bayou to connect with Texas and Prairie at Smith. When completed, Memorial Drive will carry traffic directly into the downtown area. The extension of Memorial into Prairie and Texas is being done at a cost of $1,336,000. completion is scheduled by next December or earlier. The northwest extension of the Gulf Freeway ultimately will pass over the Memorial extension at this point.
