Description
An ice party, at top, makes scientific tests in an alien world of 20-below weather, wind, fog and ice. Above, at left, Captain Paul M. Fournier, veteran skipper of the stubby, powerful Canadian ice-breaker MacDonald, watches as one of his officers plots a navigation course. Right, Captain Roger Steward peers into the radarscope on the bridge of the Manhattan. Radar told of ice in front of the ship.

Photo is dated 1969.

Photo measures 8.5 x 7.5 inches.
