Chevron Oil Co. 300-Ton Ocean Home, Safety innovations and more comfort for the crew are featured in this offshore crew quarters, fabricated by S&R Tool and Supply Co. of Houston for use by Chevron Oil Co. In Block 299, Main Pass, offshore Louisiana. The 64-man structure, which weighs more than 600,000 pounds, features gas and flame detection systems, a completely integrated sewage treatment facility; and a wall adjacent to the production area with a 2 1/2 hour UL fire rating. The building will stand 110 feet above water and has its own water purification facilities, plus a 22-man theater.
