Carbon monoxide Fireman Sonny Turrentine is helped from a 60-inch water line under construction after an unsuccessful attempt to rescue a worker overcome in the pipe by carbon monoxide fumes from a gasoline-powered pump Saturday. Coworkers identified the dead workman as Lonnie Parson, 30, of 2300 Forest Hill, an employee of Jalco Inc. Construction company. Several rescue workers were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after the accident at Satsuma and Smallwood in Southeast Houston.
