Body-human Red blood cells are pictured floating freely in blood plasma. They are so small that a row of 150 would be about 1/25 of an inch long, but there are so many red blood cells in the body that if arranged in a line they would stretch four times around the equator.

Photo is dated 1974.

Photo measures 8.75 x 7.75 inches.
