As part of a one-day campaign to plant thousands of trees in Alief, Texas, a Houston suburb located on the almost treeless plain southwest of the city, Marie Railey, 6, plants a tiny seedling. Eastex Inc. and Kirby Lumber Co. donated 15,000 pine seedlings for the Alief drive. Marie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Railey of Alief. Alief, Texas
