Description
Aerospace Defense Command's Thule Air Base, Greenland, 600 miles north or the Arctic Circle, is home for a small group of Air Force nurses. Taking advantage of one of the "warmer" days, Jaj. Mary Radvansky and Jaj. Reva Sturm prepare Herbie, their three-legged Husky mascot, for a walk. As a small pup, Herbie lost his leg in a dogsled accident. The air base is a strategic Ballistic Missile Early Warning System site. U.S. Air Force Aerospace Defense Command
