It was no picnic, though, as the 30-year old Canadian beat veteran Kathy Whitworth and young Pat Meyers in a dramatic sudden-death playoff to win the Lady Stroh's Open bebore an LPGA record turnout of 19,4000 sun-drenched fans at Dearborn Country-Club.
