Caption: Omaha, July 17, 1957--Jinx Broken--Barbara Romack Porter, 24-year-old California sharpshooter, blasts out of a trap on No. 10 during her jinx-breaking second round in the Women's Western Amateur golf tournament today. This was the first time in a seven tries that Barbara has gotten by the second round in the Western. She defeated Mrs. Maurice Glick of Baltimore, 4 and 2.
