Caption: Chris Hogg demonstrates the interactive television system at Jefferson School in Sterling Heights. 166 Detroit-area fourth-graders have taken a long look into the future of television. As the school year ends, the children, their families and teachers like what they see. Two experimental TV systems being tested in Birmingham and Sterling Heights have given the children a preview of video technology that should be available in millions of homes by the end of the century. The systems let children and their parents select educational proforma from a menu of choices. The students seem just as pleased. "It's real educational, and it's fun, mostly," said 9-year-old Marc Bruno. "All of (the videos) are educational, and regular TV's not.".
