Caption: The $3.1 million dollar Sentinel Center office building, under construction on E. Jefferson at Chene, will have 60,000 square feet of office space plus an adjacent 20,000 square foot banquet-convention area equipped to handle assemblies of 1,800 people. Designed by John Stevens Associates Inc., the complex is being built as a pension fund investment by the Sentinel Center Office Corp., a subsidiary of the Detroit Police Benefit & Protective Association. Exterior walls are precast concrete panels. Dark gray solar glass will be installed. Partial occupancy is scheduled for January 1971.
