Caption: He was third - Bill Kidd of Stowe, Vt., is shown in action today in the Hahnenkamm downhill race at Kitzbuehel, Austria. Kidd placed third in the event and established himself as a dangerous threat to the Austrian downhill supremacy, having successfully challenged top Europeans in both the slalom and giant slalom. His time was 2:17.43 for the 3,500-meter course.
