Caption: CHICAGO, Nov. 12--KERNER TESTIFIES IN CHICAGO--While his daugther, Helena, reads perpared statement, former Illinois Gov. Otto Kerner faces newsmen in Chicago Tuesday afternoon. Imprisoned federal judge Kerner testified in Chicago at a tax case involving a $70,000 charitable deduction on his federal income tax return which the Internal Revenue Service disallowed. Kerne is serving a three-year sentence in Lexington, Ky., for mail fraud, tax evasion, conspiracy and perjury.
