Caption: The Soviet Union 3/23 announced the abolition of censorship of foreign correspondents. Press chief M.A. Kharlamov (shown in 1955 file photo) announced that from now on foreign correspondents would be free to send dispatches by cable or telephone from any point at their convenience. He added, however that correspondents will be required to keep copies of their stories for examination at any time by the press department.
