Claude Kirk arrives at Federal court in New Orleans with motions in hand urging the court to block the ordered desegregation plan for the Manatee Country schools. Earlier Kirk assumed control of that school system to block the order but gave up that effort Monday when he was ordered to pay a $10,000-a-day unless he relented in blocking the desegregation.
