Caption: This photo of a mountain man in Appalachia was shot by CAROLINE KENNEDY in the summer of 1974 while she was working with a documentary film company. It was one of several photos printed in the Sunday edition of the New York Daily News. Caroline made her debut as a photographer with an exhibition of 80 black-and-white pictures at the Lexington Labs gallery in New York City. The exhibition opened without fanfare or publicity.
