Caption: Free Press names vice-presidents The Detroit Free Press has appointed Jim Spaniolo vice president human resources and Tim Kelleher vice-president labor relations, effective immediately, company President Jerome Tilis announced Wednesday. In his new position, Spaniolo will be responsible for compensation, benefits, health and welfare, security and safety, training and development, Quality Circles and employee communications. He has been assistant to Publisher David Lawrence for the past six months. Kelleher, formerly vice president employment relations, will focus on issues related to the paper's collective bargaining agreements in his new position.
