1969 Press Photo Induction Records 231 Set Ablaze

Caption: Flames consume records of 231 men scheduled for induction into the armed services at Los Angeles. Watching the fire are Charles Friend, left, 22, and Walter Skinner, 25, of Pasadena, who were arrested and charged with suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. Police said they seized the records at the induction station, drove to a parking lot a block away, and men were referred back to their draft boards for reprocessing.
