Caption: LASER GEODYNAMIC SATELLITE, READY FOR THE BIG BOUNCE, Technician at Bendix' aerospace systems laboratory in Ann Arbor, Mich., makes a final inspection of the Laser Geodynamic Satellite recently. The two-foot aluminum sphere, to be launched into space this month, will aid scientists in measuring the rate of continental drift. It is expected to remain in earth orbit for 10 million years.
